FTSE Russell held a forum on accelerating sustainable investment in Thailand, with Optiwise joining the panel to share perspectives
FTSE Russell, in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), organized a seminar aimed at advancing sustainable investment amid Thailand’s capital market transition toward international sustainability standards. The event took place on 24 November 2025 at the LSEG Thailand Office, One Bangkok.
The seminar featured an overview of sustainable investment trends across the Asia-Pacific region and provided an explanation of the assessment framework used in the FTSE Russell ESG Scores. The Stock Exchange of Thailand has adopted this framework as a standardized tool for listed companies to enhance transparency and strengthen their ability to compare ESG information with global capital markets.
A highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled “Accelerating Sustainable Investing in Thailand: Strategies and Practices,” which brought together specialists in investment management and sustainability advisory. Panelists included Mrs. Chavinda Hanratanakool, Chief Executive Officer of Krungthai Asset Management (KTAM) and President of the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC); Matthew Henshaw, Head of Institutional Buy-Side, Asia ex Japan, FTSE Russell; and Carmen Leung, Head of Sustainable Product, APAC, FTSE Russell The speakers shared perspectives on regulatory developments, advancements in ESG data and indices, and the collaboration needed to accelerate sustainable investing in Thailand.
On this occasion, Ms. Supat Chuasuwan, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Optiwise, also joined the discussion to share insights on challenges related to ESG data, efforts to enhance disclosure standards, and opportunities for Thai businesses to advance in response to responsible investment demands.
